Description Enterprise Servers and Storage (ESS) is one of the global towers within IT Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS). TIS represent the one Infrastructure organization supporting the whole of the bank working with Application Development and the Business.

ESS responsibilities include implementation and project services, escalation support, and software maintenance services.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Windows, Unix and Database teams aligned to serve the Asia Pacific region and it's clients.
  • Identification and development of a deputy for the role
  • Participate in global meetings and forums in order to represent Asia Pacific in deciding and driving global strategies.
  • Execute Asia region specific programs including the Regional Data Center strategy, AP CAM
  • Ensure compliance with global policies and processes
  • Liaison with key customers within the Application development community to ensure that their requirements are identified and prioritized
  • Maintenance of a detailed Book Of Work covering the activities of the Platforms team
  • Senior Member of the ESS Asia Management team, deputize for the Regional ESS Manager when required

Requirements:
To be successful, candidates should possess the following:

  • Broad IT Infrastructure background with significant emphasis in Project Management and Production environments
  • Ability to run projects using sound Project management principles including cost control, scheduling, quality management and reporting
  • Detailed understanding of ITIL processes

Position: Test Manager, Private Banking

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Test Manager for assigned projects.
  • Lead the testing phase of a project.
  • Create test scripts, test plan, test report, and other necessary documentation in the testing phase of a project or change request.
  • Execution/Coordination of SIT, UAT, and when required, other forms of tests like Post-Migration Tests.
  • Ensure the appropriate level of testing is completed to identify and resolve or escalate any issues.
  • Review of test entry/exit criteria to ensure that they are met before promotion to the next test/project phase.
  • Coordination to ensure that all forms of test resources (hardware, manpower, etc) are in place.
  • Close management and tracking of bugs toward a swift resolution.
  • Provide effective monitoring and reporting of test progress.
  • Consolidate and review pre-requisite documents relevant to testing, prior to production release.
  • Close collaboration with the project manager and other members of the project to work toward the successful delivery of the project.
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.
  • Utilise and contribute to enhancing the Test Automation Suite, the tools, processes that are in place.
  • With alignment to CMMi, and using best practices, improve the testing processes.
  • Manage other test analysts – both in-house and outsourced.
  • Function as a mentor to junior test analysts.
  • Manage contract/junior test analysts when put as the Test Manager for a testing team.
  • Act as the backup personnel for another Test Manager.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Technology.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience with at least 3 to 5 years in a Test Management role.
  • Strong experience in test planning, and in the execution of SIT, UAT, and other Tests.
  • Proven ability to translate Requirements Specifications and Design Specifications into test scripts.
  • Proven ability in user management and vendor management. Experience in running “Managed Testing Services” is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of financial products and the workflows.
  • Experience in working in a large financial institution.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and multi-culture environment.
  • Work experience/knowledge with Globus is a major plus.
  • Work experience with E-Banking Portals, Siebel, Broadvision is a plus.
  • Sound knowledge in the framework, setup, and usage of Mercury QuickTestPro, Mercury QualityCenter is a big plus.
  • Sound knowledge of IT SDLC, and knowledge of CMMi process. Sound knowledge in Testing best-practices.
  • Certification in the Testing field is a plus.

Equities Trade Floor Application Support Manager

Primary role: Managing the trade floor support team
  • Manage and motivate a team of 9+ people on the Equities trade floor that provides support for users and applications support for Asia Pac. The team and responsibilities is expected to grow as the business continues to grow.
  • All Equities systems and businesses are supported, Cash, DMA, Programs, Derivatives.
  • Be the central point of contact and the go to person for Trading floor support for Equity applications and infrastructure. Form strong business partnerships.
  • Problem management: alert, report and escalate problems appropriately to both the Business and Technology management. The responsibilities also involving active follow up with local and global IT teams for major system outages till long term fix is in place. Other area within problem management also includes the tracking of problem tickets till closure, to collect and prepare reports for Development team mangers to perform their monthly system problem trend analysis.
  • Change management: Control and coordinate between management of the development teams and the Change management committee for weekly new releases. This involves a mandatory weekly discussion with the project managers and the Change management Committee to ensure no interference between each change of application or infrastructure.
  • Coordinate testing with Global teams for major global application releases.
  • Secondary Role: to assists team members on user support and system checkouts
  • Provide user and application support
  • Discuss with, and answer, to user questions for problem that had an impact to their work.
  • Occasionally, to take enhancement requirements from user for Development teams’ analysis and action.

Essential:

  • Degree holder in computer science or related
  • 10 years of experience in investing banking, mainly in Equities

Basel II Team Lead/Manager

Overview:The role is for a team lead and a manager for one of the shifts providing 24*7 production support for Basel II. The team would be responsible for a global batch and end user support for the Basel II architecture, which supports a global user base (New York, London, Zurich and Asia) and has 3 daily batch processing runs. The plan is to have 4 rotating shifts of 3 people to accomplish this. Regional client facing support teams will also be put in place.

The primary responsibility of the shift team would be to provide first line support for all issues arising from batch failures or user queries. Upstream issues would need following-up with the upstream data suppliers and Basel II application issues would involve functional as well as technical troubleshooting. Issues that cannot be resolved by the shift team themselves would need escalation to the second line team.

In addition to handling production issues, the role will include managing the support shift and the relationship with the users and upstream data suppliers, incident management, line management and system status reporting. The support team is part of the Global Regulatory, Tax and Treasury IT group. The aim is to build a production support frame work that can be leveraged for other application in 2008.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

Production Support

• Provide technical and functional support required for solving application problems during the shift hours covering critical batch processes and online user queries

• Ensure appropriate prioritisation of issues and timely escalations

• Ensure that defects are properly logged and tracked to ensure longer-term resolution

• Ensure a structured handover for the next shift to take over

• Managing team resources and activity. This includes resolving time critical production issues, coordination with other IT groups in problem resolution, continuous improvement to production environment, tracking SLAs, incident trends and reporting on batch performance

• Develop and manage the relationship between the production support team and upstream and down stream systems.

• Develop and manage the relationship with the users.

• Checking releases and upgrades have been successfully applied to the production environments.

• Disaster recover planning and execution.
